Rules & Regulations
  1. The student will have to fill the Prescribed Application Form attached with the Prospectus and can be obtained by paying Rs. 100.00 for general category candidates and for Rs.25.00 for SC/BC candidates from the college counter. The prospectus can also be obtained by sending a demand draft of Rs. 130/-(one hundred and thirty only) in favour ofPrincipal, S. A. Jain College, Ambala City. The Admission Form can also be downloaded from our college website. The downloaded form should accompany a Demand Draft of Rs. 100.00 drawn in favour of Principal S. A. Jain College, Ambala payable at Ambala.
  2.  The candidates should fill the form carefully. They must mention their cast and category specifically.
  3. The candidate will be responsible himself/herself for rejection of the admission form if he/she does not give correct and complete information.
  4. he completed form must accompany the following items:

    i. Attested photo copies of passed examination

    ii. Matriculation Certificate for date of birth

    iii. Character Certificate

    iv. Two Passport Size Photographs affixed at required places in the form.

    v. Photocopy of proof if applying under reserved category seat

    vi. . The candidates from other universities should submit the following items also.

    a. Inter university migration certificate

    b. Eligibility certificate

    c. Original DMC of passed examination.

Notes

  1. The seats are limited in courses/classes/subjects. The admission is based on merit & availability of seats. The list of short listed candidates will be displayed on the notice board. There will be no separate intimation to candidates.
  2. The college is liable to cancel the admission of any candidate without giving any reason.
  3. The seats are reserved for SC/ST/BC according to the rules of K. U. Kurukshetra.
  4. The college will not be responsible if Kurukshetra University rejects the admission of an applicant for hiding information or for giving false/incomplete information
  5. All the admissions are provisional.
  6. Every candidate must give the following Undertaking :

"I solemnly declare that the information detailed by me in the Admission Form is correct to the best of my knowledge and belief and nothing has been concealed therein. I also do undertake to abide by all the rules, regulations and instructions of the College and also of the University. I am taking admission in the College provisionally at my own risk and responsibility subject to confirmation of my admission by the College/University. If, at any stage, I have been declared ineligible and my admission is cancelled by the University ab initio, I will abide by the orders of the University and forego every right to claim for it."

Rules for changing faculty/subject

  1. There will be no permission to change subject/faculty without the permission of Principal
  2. To change subject/faculty , the prescribed application form should be submitted to the In charge, Time Table.

Eligibility for Admission

A candidate can seek admission to B. A./B. Sc./B. Com I if he/she has passed Sr. Sec. Examination or equivalent as recognized by K. U. Kurukshetra with English as a compulsory subject. Minimum marks in Sr. Secondary or equivalent examination for admission to B. A./B. Sc./B. Com I
are B. Sc. I : 40%
B. Com. I : 40%
B. A. I : 33%

  • Due to limited seats , admission will be merit based.
  • The candidate will have to pass English in the year of admission to T.D.C. - I if he/she has not passed the same in 10+2 or equivalent at the time of admission .

B. A./ B. Sc./ B. Com. II & III :

The candidates who have passed B. A./B. Sc./B. Com I or II from Kurukshetra University or any other equivalent examination recognized by K. U. K. are eligible to take admission to B. A./B. Sc./B. Com II & III

Note:

  1. Those students who have obtained Compartment in one subject in lower exam under K. U. will be allowed to take admission to higher class .However, these students must pass this subject by March 2007, otherwise their admission to higher class will be cancelled according to university rules.
  2. Failed students will not be granted admission.

M.Com.
Eligibilty:-

Eligibility Conditions:-
A person who has passed with at least 45% marks in the aggregate of the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Arts / Science with Economics or Mathematics Examination of the Kurukshetra University, or any other Examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible to join this course.

M.Sc. Computer Science(Software)
Eligibilty:-

B.Sc./B.Com with Computer Science or Computer Applications (Vocational) as one of the subjects with 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Sc.or B.Sc. (Hons.) Information Technology or B.Sc. Information Technology with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
BCA with 50% marks in aggregate, or Post B.Sc. Diploma in Computer Sc. and Application / Post - graduate Diploma in Computer Application / Post -Graduate Diploma in Computer Science with at least 50% marks in aggregate
OR
Provided that those students who have passed these one year diploma course must have passed B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.A. with Maths at their graduation level.

Add -ON Courses
Eligibilty:-

Any bonafide student of the college can opt for these courses.
These courses are being introduced under the scheme of 'Career Oriented Programmes' of UGC. The objective of this scheme is to introduce career and market - oriented, skill enhancing add-on courses that have utility for job, self-employment and empowerment of the students. These courses are of Inter-discliplinary nature and students of any faculty can join these courses in addition to the conventional B.A./B.Com/B.Sc. degree programme. The course are of Certificate Level (One year Duration), Diploma Level (Two year duration) and Advanced Diploma Level (Three year duration)
